Customer

The customer commits to complying with these terms and conditions when buying products and services in NaturEffect Oy’s Internet services or other.

Booking terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to products and services rented and booked. These are both referred to as “object”.

Booking

  • The customer is responsible for learning about the object(s) of booking and instructions as well as the terms and conditions related to the booking.

  • The booking made by the customer is binding when the order/payment confirmation has been sent to the email address given by the customer.

  • The customer pays the booking according to the payment method chosen and complying with its terms and conditions.

  • The booking system sends an order/payment confirmation to the email address given by the customer.

  • NaturEffect Oy takes no responsibility for failed bookings, and the customer must immediately contact NaturEffect Oy to correct the situation.

  • NaturEffect Oy does not guarantee that the object is available in this situation.

  • If the object is not available, the money is returned or another object is offered in its place, if possible.

Cancellations and changes

  • Cancellation date is the day when NaturEffect Oy receives the information about the cancellation.

  • The customer is responsible for sending the cancellation in time.

  • If the customer cancels booking

    • when there are 30 days or more before the beginning of the booking, a delivery fee will be charged. The delivery fee is 10€ (incl. VAT 24 %).

    • when there are less than 30 but at least 7 days before the beginning of the booking, 50% of the object’s rental price will be charged.

    • when there are less than 7 days before the beginning of the booking, the rental price will be charged in total.

    • For objects booked with a discount code, the rental price in total will be charged despite the cancellation date.

Owner’s right to cancel the booking

  • In case of force majeure, NaturEffect Oy has the right to terminate the rental agreement. The termination is immediately communicated to the customer who has rented the object.

  • In this case, the customer has the right to a full compensation of the rent paid.

  • Possible costs accrued to the customer due to force majeure will not be compensated.

Outdoor activities always include a rain check. In case the programme cannot be carried out safely or according to the set quality of content, NaturEffect Oy has the right to move or, if necessary, completely cancel the programme.

In case of dangerous conditions throughout the programme, such as hard wind, heavy fog, thunder or other phenomenon that prevents some of the programme or all of the programme that has already started, NaturEffect Oy will do its best to replace the programme with other programme suitable for the customer. NaturEffect Oy takes no financial responsibility in a case such as the above and will only compensate the costs of what can be cancelled.

NaturEffect Oy has the right to dismiss or terminate the service if force majeure, such as a fire, natural catastrophe, authority action, strike or other similar unforeseen event not depending on NaturEffect Oy should prevent performing the service or make it significantly more difficult.

In addition, NaturEffect Oy has the right to cancel all of the programme in case the service provider falls ill or other severe personal cause occurs, if no replacement is available. In this case, too, the paid sum in total will be returned to the registered participants.

If the agreement is dismissed, the paid sum in total must be returned to the customer, or if the service is terminated, a sum that covers the part of service that was not delivered.

NaturEffect Oy must immediately inform the customer about the cause by which the service cannot be delivered.

 

Locks

  • Instructions on how to use the numerically coded lock in the accommodation are delivered to the customer with the payment confirmation.

  • The code lock is in the tent that is specified in the payment confirmation.

  • Before the booking starts, the customer is sent a text message to the phone number given during the booking process that includes the lock’s numerical code and the tent number. The code opens the lock of the booked tent.

  • The code is only given if the booking has been paid for and is valid. The code must not be given to any outsider or changed on the lock.

  • The customer returns the locks for the object according to the instructions received. The default is that after the booking the lock is left in the same tent where it was at the beginning of the booking.

  • If a lock is lost or not returned, the owner has the right to claim all costs due to acquiring new locks or at least 20 euros.

  • NaturEffect Oy has the right to claim at least 20 euros if they need to bring a new lock for the object to replace one that has been lost.

Use of the object

  • The object has been specified in an object description.

  • During the rental period, the customer has the right to use the object and its equipment as well as specified services.

  • If the booker notes any faults or other issues related to the object, they must immediately notify this to the booking manager.

  • The customer takes care of the tidiness of the object as well as removing all waste during and after the rental period.

  • The customer is responsible for cleaning the object and its surroundings at the end of the booking.

  • In case the customer has failed to clean the object, NaturEffect Oy will invoice its cleaning costs in full or at least 150 euros.

  • The object is used by the customer during the time specified in the object description.

  • Pets

    • The booker is fully responsible and liable for the costs and damages caused by their pets.

    • Pets must be kept tied in the national park area.

    • Pets are not allowed to be left alone without monitoring in the accommodation.

    • Pet owners must pay special attention to the cleanliness of the accommodation. The accommodation is always inspected after pets and cleaned by NaturEffect Oy if necessary.

    • Accommodations that allow pets are always specifically indicated. 

    • Pet owners must also follow specific instructions that may be provided separately.

  • Special terms and conditions for Skytent Ecocamp Högsåra

    • The customer must learn the safety and use instructions of the object. These instructions are sent to the customer’s email with the order confirmation, and they are also available in the accommodation. Accommodation must be used with care according to its normal purpose as instructed.

    • Skytent Ecocamp Högsåra

      • Skytent Ecocamp Högsåra allows entrance of one (1) vehicle (car, van or motorcycle).

      • We recommend leaving the vehicle on shore by the ferry, on the Svartnäs side if possible. In case the vehicle is taken to Högsåra, it must be driven to the Sandvik parking area in Högsåra. The vehicle cannot be left anywhere else on the island.

      • In any circumstance, the vehicle cannot be driven to the national park area and the Sandvik beach. The vehicle must be left in the parking area about 50 m from the beach. In case the parking area is full, the vehicle must be driven away in order not to block the one-lane road that leads to the beach.

    • Skytent Ecocamp Taalintehdas

      • We recommend leaving the vehicle in the parking area of the camping site or in its immediate vicinity. The vehicle can also be left somewhere else in the village.

    • Skytent Ecocamp Söderlångvik

      • Skytent Ecocamp Söderlångvik allows entrance of one (1) vehicle (car, van or motorcycle).

      • We recommend leaving the vehicle in the customer parking area of the Söderlångvik manor.

    • Skytent Ecocamp Kasnäs

      • We recommend leaving the vehicle in the public parking area of Kasnäs. Note that all parking areas are not public or free.

  • Special terms and conditions for rental equipment

    • The customer must learn the safety and use instructions of the equipment. These instructions are sent to the customer’s email with the order confirmation, and they are also available in the accommodation. Equipment must be used with care according to its normal purpose. The rental customer commits to performing a safety inspection during the rental period.

    • Rental equipment may not be taken outside the country or leased further.

    • Rental equipment may only be used within the terms and conditions in places that apply the user’s skills and competence level.

    • The customer always uses all equipment and accessories at their own risk.

    • The customer must return the equipment immediately at the end of the rental period to the agreed place, cleaned and otherwise in the same condition as it was in the beginning of leasing. The rental customer must inform the rental agent immediately if the equipment cannot be returned on time. The rental agent has the right to claim 50% more rent for the extra time if there is no other separate agreement.

    • The customer is liable to compensate the damages and costs that affect the rental equipment during the rental period and are due to incorrect handling or insufficient maintenance.

    • The customer is liable to compensate for equipment destroyed or lost during the rental period to its full purchase value.

    • The customer is responsible for following transportation, safety and other orders.

    • The customer is obliged to inform the rental agent immediately about any fault noted in the equipment.

    • The rental agent is obliged to make repairs that are due to normal use of the equipment. The rental agent is not responsible for any direct or indirect costs or damages that may accrue to the renter due to the use or failure of the equipment. The rental agent does not commit to delivering new equipment to replace a broken one or to compensate for any indirect or direct costs due to termination of work.

Compensation for damages

  • The customer is liable to compensate for NaturEffect Oy’s damages caused by the customer on the object or equipment. The booker is also liable for any persons visiting the object and any damages they may cause during the booking.

  • NaturEffect Oy does not compensate any damage or cost accrued to the customer due to natural conditions, such as insects, animals, thaw or unexpected changes in weather.

  • The customer has the right to receive compensation for the damage caused by an error in NaturEffect’s performance if the error is due to NaturEffect’s or their auxiliary business supplier’s negligence.

  • The damages to compensate include extra and futile costs to the customer due to an error.

  • NaturEffect is not liable for any damage caused by force majeure or other unforeseen reason that NaturEffect or their auxiliary business supplier could not have prevented by taking special care.

  • NaturEffect must immediately inform the customer of any hindrance and try act so that the damage suffered by the customer is minimal.

  • The customer must follow NaturEffect’s understandable instructions, warnings and orders related to the use of the service and use safety equipment as instructed.

  • The customer is liable for any damages caused to NaturEffect or third parties on purpose or by negligence of themselves or minors in their control.

  • The customer is obliged to obtain and possess valid documents, like passport, visa, driving or firearms license, or fishing permission, needed to use the service.

  • NaturEffect is not liable for any voluntary insurance needed by the customer during travel but the customer is personally responsible for insurance coverage, for example regarding cancellations.

  • If the customer does not use all agreed services or only uses some of them, they have no right to demand discount or return of payment on this account.

Insurance

  • The participant must ensure that the product, service or trip suits the level of their physical ability or competence.

  • By booking, the participant accepts the risks that are involved in every trip or activity as well as travelling to and being at a destination.

  • According to the insurance rules in Finland, the participants must by themselves manage insurances for possible illness and accident and for travel, luggage and cancellations. 

  • NaturEffect can be liable for the quality of potential third party (airline, hotel etc.) arrangements or delays thereof.

  • NaturEffect recommends all customers to obtain personal travel and accident insurance.

Safety

  • There is a safety plan for every programme, product and service organized by NaturEffect, the main ideas of which the guide will explain to the group.

  • The participant commits to following written and/or oral safety instructions.

  • If necessary, a participant who does not follow safety instructions can be removed from the group and may be denied any participation in the programme. In this case NaturEffect does not return the participant fee.

  • In case it is mentioned in connection with the product, the customer is committed to delivering additional information (regarding health, for example) needed by NaturEffect to deliver the service.

    • NaturEffect commits to keeping this information confidential and disposing it after it is no longer needed to deliver the product in question.

Notifications and dispute settlement

  • The customer is obliged to immediately notify NaturEffect or its representative about possible faults that can be repaired during the use of the service.

  • Other possible notifications that cannot be repaired during the use of service and compensation claims thereof must be submitted in writing to Saaristohetki within a reasonable time from noting the fault or its obvious notability.

  • In case no satisfactory solution is found on the matter or a compensation claim is involved, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month after the end of the rental period or programme.

  • NaturEffect strives to handle complaints as fast as possible and within one month at maximum.

  • In case the customer and NaturEffect cannot reach agreement, the customer can submit the dispute to be handled by the Consumer Disputes Board, Finnish Consumer Authority (Kuluttajavirasto), Haapaniemenkatu 4 A, 7th floor, PO Box 5, 00531 Helsinki

Terms of delivery

Validity of an agreement

  • A binding trade agreement comes into force when the order has been confirmed (order/payment confirmation).

  • Order/payment confirmation is delivered to the customer by email.

Cancellation of transaction and refunds

  • The products involve 14 days of refund entitlement in accordance with the consumer protection law.

  • Refund entitlement is valid only if the product is in its original condition.

  • Refund entitlement does not concern engraved or other personalized products, accommodation or restaurant services or other leisure time services agreed for a certain time.

Product warranty

  • We follow the warranty terms and conditions specified by the manufacturer or importer.

Delivery

  • Delivery fees include postage and packing. You can review delivery fees after selecting payment and delivery method in the cart.

Payment terms

  • NaturEffect Oy applies reliable and safe payment agents for its services.

  • NaturEffect Oy does not save bank or credit card information in any stage of the process.

  • The customer commits to complying with the terms of the selected payment method.

  • Payments by invoicing NaturEffect Oy (for businesses and communities)

    • Invoicing is only for the use of businesses and communities.

    • The invoice must be paid by the specified due date.

    • In case the invoice for a booked object or product is not paid by the due date, the order is removed and the object is returned to the store.

  • The payment agent is Maksukaista (Paybyway Oy, business ID 2486559-4) registered at the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA). On the bank statement and invoice the payment receiver is Maksukaista / Paybyway Oy. Maksukaista transmits the payments to the online store. Payments are safe because all information about the transaction is encrypted so that no external party can see it. The transaction takes place between the online store and the customer of the online store. All transaction-related obligations are with the online store.

  • In case payment transaction has not been completed at the moment of order, NaturEffect Oy does not handle the order.

General terms and conditions

  • The prices stated in the online service are all value-added taxable.

  • We apply dynamic pricing in our accommodations. The prices depend on the number of guests and the time of accommodation, and they vary monthly, weekly and daily.

  • We sell products to private persons of legal age as well as to business customers.

  • We reserve the right to change prices.

  • The customer is responsible for the validity of the information given.

  • NaturEffect Oy has the right to use and assign registered address information for direct sales, remote sales and other direct marketing as well as market and opinion surveys unless forbidden by the customer. Forbiddance can be created using the contact information stated in the terms and conditions.

  • We reserve the right to change our terms of delivery. Before ordering, the customer must learn the valid terms of delivery.
